Health Canada exemption forms are available at the Green Cross and help is offered to the members who need assistance is properly filling out forms. Currently their is over 2220 patients authorized by Health Canada to possess dried cannabis as a medication. The MMAR offers a personal production license to exempted card holders to help cut costs of there medical cannabis. It is important to note that the "Marihuana Medical Access Regulations" deal exclusively with the medical use of cannabis. |

A Natural Medicine
Some people stare at me when I go by.
Some people turn their back when I go by.
For it’s just another day in the park for you.
For me I’m in too much pain to move.
Severe pain that rips through my body.
Every second, Of every minute, Of every day.
The pain is something you could never imagine.
Until this day, pain is all I felt.
I took this Cannacap wondering if it would work.
The storm began to fade., The sun began to shine.
It’s only been a few days since I took that first Cannacap.
I don’t remember a moment without that severe pain until last night.
I looked at the clock it was 10 pm, I looked again it was 7 am.
A full 9 hours of quality sleep that wasn’t interrupted with that stabbing,
thumping, electrical piercing pain.
I’ve had this terrible pain for almost 23 years now.
Thanks to the Cannacaps I have a new lease on life.
A life I can begin to live without that severe pain.
I’m on a new journey to live a life being pain free.
A medicine that works for me without that negativity.
If it weren’t for Cannacaps I wouldn’t be looking
Forward to living a life totally pain free.

Dear Green Cross.
My wife, Cheryl has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for well over twenty five years. During the past 22 of those years, she has suffered excruciating and debilitating nerve pain. She was often wheelchair-bound as a result of that pain.
Pain has affected her whole person: body, mind and spirit. She has tried everything the B.C medical machine offers, and found no relief. She even spent a week or more in the pain clinic at B.C Health Sciences as a patient/guinea pig, where they pumped her system full of benzodiazepines antispasmodics, antidepressants, and opiates galore. They even tried a temporary local nerve block! She cane home from the pain clinic in pain, and stopped all medication on her own; she was sick of being ‘out of it’ all the time. The pain was still there, so she was ‘out of it’ all the time for nothing.
Then one day about a year ago, she met another person who suffered similarly with MS. As he lit a joint up, he pointed to it and said to my wife, “You should really try this; it’s the only thing I’ve found that relieves the pain”. She tried it, it worked, and it still does and as a result for the first time in 22 years, she can actually stand, pain free, and walk.
We are tired of the social stigma that has so stupidly and so blindly been attached to Cannabis use. “It is illegal, after all”. We would like to help your organization, and other people to have access to the possibility of pain relief through Cannabis use.

Dear Green Cross.
Since August 2006 the Green Cross Society of B.C (GCS) has become a major part of my life and recovery. I was in intense pain and hooked on pharmaceutical drugs. On June 23 2005, I fell 28 feet onto concrete at work. I sustained many injuries; C6 fracture (broken neck), shattered left elbow, disc herniations in lower back, and nerve damage. These are just a few of the 13 injuries I have withstood and are part of my Work Safe BC claim. Chronic pain, depression, constant muscle spasms, my ears ring all the time and not knowing if I was coming or going persisted for many months.
When I first walked into the GCS I was using opiate narcotics, heavily; anti-depressants, blood pressure pills, pills for stress, anxiety, and sleeping totaling up to 32 pills a day. Medical Cannabis was one of the remedies I used to help escape from the horror I was in.
It’s been one year at the GCS and I write this letter of appreciation to the Staff and Volunteers of the Green Cross Society and to tell my story to you, the members, how the society has changed my life.
I am happy to say I am now off all opiate and anti-depressant prescription drugs.
GREEN CROSS SOCIETY, MEDICAL CANNABIS SAVED MY LIFE!
The research that has been compiling over the past year is truly a break through for medical Cannabis and natural medicine. I have been deeply involved with the research team at the GCS and can truly identify the effects of cannabis. I have been testing different types of cannabis and oral preps and now able to identify and regulate the amount of THC, CBD and CBN ratio that my body needs to help me with my ailments. I am now able to control my pain levels, nausea and other symptoms. The standardized oral cannabis capsules made by the green cross have saved years of withdrawals and agony my body would have had to endure while coming on and off of pharmaceutical drugs. Cannabis tincture is truly my medicine. The several different kinds of bake goods offered at the GCS (regulated cannabis in milligrams) helps me function in life much better than before. Thank you to the bakers and the research team for making these tasty medical cannabis treats.
I still live in chronic pain, but I am able to function because of the medical research done at the GCS. I use medical cannabis, natural remedies and baked goods to help relive my symptoms, chronic pain, muscle spasms, nausea from pain and other symptoms. The feeling of being lost and loss of concentration from the painkillers prescribed by my family doctor was leading me to a life of addiction and harm to my body. The GCS showed me a way how to deal with my pain by offering me medical cannabis tinctures, regulated cannabis infused baked goods, clean safe medicine from there listed cannabis strains on the board. Harm Reduction at its best I would say!!
The dedication I have seen from members and staff has been extraordinary. The volunteer work done by these people for no money at all has been outstanding. This is a non-profit organization for helping the sick and disabled. All people at the GCS are disabled, The Disabled Helping The Disabled,
I have been given a second chance just like many other Green Cross members and now dedicate myself to helping injured and the ill, at the Green Cross. The support group within the GCS walls is genuine and heartfelt. I have witnessed many people’s lives change for the better because of the community support, group offered at the GCS.
I would like to give a special thanks to our President , Directors and Scientist’s for their sheer dedication and fight to show the world how Cannabis is a valid medicine and will change the way people look at ,MAIJAUNA MEDICAL CANNABIS.
